Andrew Nyamekye

 
 

Born in Ghana, West Africa, Andrew Nyamekye is an experienced and charismatic educator with over a decade of experience in academic advising, teaching, and school leadership. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Westfield State University and a master’s degree in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University.

Over the years, Mr. Nyamekye has built a reputation as a trusted and resourceful leader. He inspires through empathy and collaboration with students and families, educators, and school leaders. Over the last 11 years, Mr. Nyamekye has been a positive role model and staunch advocate for the academic achievement and success of students who participate in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ METCO program. METCO, which stands for the Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity, Inc., was founded at the peak of the Civil Rights Movement, and is the longest continuously running voluntary school desegregation program in the country.
