Gihanah Seb-Di Dio (she/her) is a current 9th grade English/Language Arts teacher at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School who prioritizes equity and belonging in her practice, inside and outside of the classroom. She believes that through connection and authentic storytelling, individuals can find points of commonality that can create bridges in a world that seeks to divide us. A graduate of Lesley University, Gihanah served in numerous positions that focused with intention on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice. She was the recipient of the 2021 Edith Lesley Wolfard Award from Lesley, one of the highest honors given to a graduating senior from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences who demonstrated impressive academic achievement and leadership as well as a commitment to professional excellence and lifelong learning. Currently, Gihanah is pursuing a master’s degree in International Higher Education at Lesley, where she is researching the Sense of Belonging Experienced by International Students of Color.
