Serenity in Recovery Meditation

Serenity in the midst of the Storm is the aim of this FREE 30-minute online practice. In Recovery, we learn to become aware of the thoughts, emotions, sensations, and energy arising within our own Being. This is a lifelong process of befriending ourselves and being okay with whatever may Be there. Find your way in the moment with compassionate guide Carla Leone, neither trying to push away or deny what arises (aversion), nor seeking to grasp what is fleeting and impermanent (craving). All you need to show up and Be Present already exists within you. The practice will Be Here to support your journey to Be Well.

Wednesdays, September 14, 21 and 28 at 8:30 - 9 pm. Register to receive your Zoom link.

Carla Leone, M.A. in Mindfulness, RYT-200, guides people in mindfulness practices with a particular dedication to those individuals in 12-Step Recovery. Her formal training in numerous forms of meditation, including Insight (vipassana) Meditation, Concentration Meditation, Loving-Kindness (metta) Meditation, Walking Meditation, and Body Scan Meditation as well as her deep learning of Yoga allows her to tailor sessions to the needs of the room.

A personal note from your guide, Carla:

After decades of abstinence from all forms of intoxicants, and living life on life’s terms through many joys and challenges, I have come to fully understand the central role that mindfulness-based practices play in maintaining serenity, courage, and wisdom. I am dedicated to helping people learn how to avoid the trap of addiction in order to find a way up and out.
