Poetry is a salt bath for our brain. Research shows that engaging with poetry lessens stress, eases anxiety, and allows us to process worries, sensory overload and emotional strife. Join us at BWBH’s serene BEtreat space on Sunday, March 26 at 2-4pm for an exploration of poetry to reduce ruminating thoughts and enhance wellBeing. Engage with mindful poems by Mary Oliver, Maya Angelou, John O’Donohue, Wendell Barry, Persian poets Hafiz and Rumi, and more. Bring your favorite mindful poem to share, if you like! Between readings, tea and meditation, we’ll also experiment with writing a poem or two as a creative, self-soothing exercise.
This BEtreat includes complimentary tea service and a printed collection of poems. Guided by BWBH Founder and Concord Festival of Authors curator, Lara Wilson.
$44 per person, an in-person BEtreat fee subsidized by our generous donors.
Space is limited to provide personalized, mindful attention. Register today!
