Forest Bathing Wellness Walk

  • Parking for White Pond Reservation 144 North Road Sudbury, MA (map)

Feel good to walk in the woods? Enhance your wellBeing through an engaged woodland experience at beautiful White Pond in Concord this winter. Join BWBH founder, Lara Wilson, for this simple practice of Being in the moment with nature, and feel the benefits of mindfully replenishing with intention.

BWBH’s Wellness Walks are based on the principles of Forest Bathing, or shinrin yoku, a Japanese practice of intentionally taking in the natural environment with all our senses. As Japanese doctor and researcher, Qing Li, writes in his book, Forest Bathing: How Trees Can Help You Find Health and Happiness, “spending time in a forest can reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and anger; strengthen the immune system; improve cardiovascular and metabolic health; and boost overall well-being” (Mind & Body, Aug 20, 2018). Mindful Wellness Walks also benefit the trees and our earth!

FREE and for ALL! Please register so the group knows to expect your presence.

Location: White Pond Reservation Trails - meet at Sachem’s Cove near the wooden White Pond sign.

Plan extra time to park in the lot behind the building at 144 North Road in Sudbury (off of Route 117), and walk along the White Pond Trails to Sachem’s Cove. For further details and a map, see the Town of Concord’s White Pond Brochure
