Walk in the woods for wellBEing! Join us outdoors for our popular mindful walks along the Annursnac Conservation Land trails in Concord, MA. Feel the cool shade of trees and Pause on massive stone outcroppings to hear the soothing sounds of Baptist Brook.
BWBH’s Woodland Walks are based on the principles of Forest Bathing, or shinrin yoku, a Japanese practice of intentionally taking in the natural environment with all our senses. As Japanese doctor and researcher, Qing Li, writes in his book, Forest Bathing: How Trees Can Help You Find Health and Happiness, “spending time in a forest can reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and anger; strengthen the immune system; improve cardiovascular and metabolic health; and boost overall well-being” (Mind & Body, Aug 20, 2018). Mindful walks also benefit the trees and our earth!
