Sun Salutation Yoga

NEW Mindful Morning Yoga! Join us IN PERSON at the BWBH BEtreat space for a fun and dynamic exploration of the sun salutation, and discover how your yoga practice can support daily life. Each Friday in September, we will build a foundation of poses while exploring movement patterns that keep us rooted and open, strong and supple. No prior experience is necessary and options will be given for ALL ways of Being. Advanced practitioners and alike will find benefits and challenges in exploring the basics.

Julia Napier was born in the United States in 1974 but has spent her adult life in Argentina. She graduated from Haverford College in 1996 and has an MA in French Literature from Bryn Mawr College. In 2005, she received an MA in Creative and Life Writing from Goldsmiths, University of London. She has worked as a writer, translator and editor for many years, and is the founding editor of La Colección Ananta, a collection of books in translation about contemplative traditions for the distinguished Argentine/Spanish publishing house El Hilo de Ariadna. Her book En la práctica, a collection of essays about the intersection of daily life and yoga practice, was published in 2021 to critical acclaim. Julia has practiced yoga for over 20 years and has studied with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, in addition to many other celebrated teachers within the Ashtanga Vinyasa lineage. She also studies Tibetan Buddhism with Dr. Jules Levinson and Dr. Robert Thurman. Julia has taught yoga extensively, both in studios and in prisons. She lives between Boston and Buenos Aires with her husband Juan and their two children, Oliverio and Justina.
