Nina Englander was in college at Tufts when she first tried chiropractic for her chronic back pain. After a short time under regular chiropractic care, not only did her back issues resolve, stomach pains that she had experienced since childhood also disappeared. This was an incredible experience that changed her life and set her on the career path to becoming a chiropractor. Dr. Nina graduated from Tufts University in 1987 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology, and moved out to Portland, Oregon to attend Western States Chiropractic College where she earned her chiropractic degree in 1992. She had private practices in both Oregon and Tennessee before moving to the Boston area in 1999. She has completed post-graduate education in working with children and pregnant women (as well as on-the-job training as a mom!) which gives her a special touch working with prenatal patients and infants. She combines several adjusting techniques such as Koren Specific Technique (KST) and Applied Kinesiology, as well as various other forms of bodywork and she is certified in the Webster Technique for care during pregnancy. She also works with nutrition and detoxification to help facilitate the healing process. Dr. Nina lives in Acton with her husband, two children and chocolate lab.

Julie Ramsdell is the founder of Fifth Chakra Energy (www.fifthchakraenergy.com) and a certified practitioner of Biofield Tuning, a sound therapy that uses the physics-based principals of frequency, resonance and entrainment to help the body discharge blocked energy from stress in order to repair and balance itself. A Reiki Master trained in the Usui lineage, Julie combines energy healing and sound/vibrational practices to address underlying root cause issues, guiding practices that release the mind and body from stress, pain, anxiety, depression and general "stuckness.” MBSR trained, Julie served as an instructor for Uplift, an online based in-person meditation group in Boston and regularly gives presentations on meditation and mindfulness. As an intuitive energy reader for humans and animals, she acts as a coach for those who wish to tap into the vast source of energetic knowledge and guidance available to all. Yoga of Self-Care & Resilience

This online yoga exploration is open to all levels of practice and ability, and is an invitation to let go of the ‘doing’ to settle into the loving space of 'BE-ing':

  • We breathe and ground to settle the fray within our Nervous Systems.

  • We move with intention to open ourselves up to sensation with caring and compassion for the bruises of our heart.

  • We feel the sticky places in our body and notice the redundant stories the mind tells so that we may shift from conditioned to curious.

  • We complete this practice by offering our individual practices in collective prayer with Loving Kindness meditation.

Mindful Inclusive Morning Yoga

The ancient practice of mindfulness, or present moment awareness, has been shown to increase health and wellness - and it can also be used to lower our biases and build conscious relationships across social differences. In honor of Black History Month, this session will combine mindfulness, pranayama (breath work) and embodied engagement with slow-flow vinyasa to gently energize and then calm the body. Our focus will be on observing shifting inner awareness as we engage in practice together. Led by Dena Samuels, PhD, Educator specializing in Mindfulness-Based Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging.

FREE online practice for ALL levels! Register for your Zoom link.
